(PHOTOS ADDED TO PHOTO TAB)
Greetings Friends, Family and Countrymen. My Spirits are beaming and my Energy levels are good.
I am off for the next 9 days! WooHoo for me!!! Or should I say "YeeHaa yall!" HA! Yes, the time is all well, but the kicker is that I will participate with the Spiritual Retreat. For those who have read through my Zero Carb blog you know how special that is to me. I dont into too much Spiritual or Religious issues here because this is not the forum for it.
So lets talk "Shop", shall we? Sure why not. Why not indeed! So the subject of the day is: The 5 Bite Diet. What about it? It is a very simple yet complex subject. How can I combine that statement? OK we are talking about, in the first place, my simple little old opinion aka IMO. FOR ME and only me I see it this way:
EASY: because my mommy told me so. HA! No really because all you have to do is continue your overnight fast until your first meal aka lunch. In which you eat 5 bites of whatever your little heart desires. Then for dinner you eat 5 bites of whatever your little heart desires again. The only difference is that you add a bite of quality protein if none was eaten with either meal. Take a multivitamin and your done for the day. Oh yeah, drink non-caloric drinks throughout the day. No in-between snacks and do not break your fast before you first meal. Easy.
Complex: OK dont get me started. HA! Just kidding. The only complex thing about this diet is to get into the "mindset" that this is to just a diet to lose weight and the most important thing we are learning at the END OF THE DAY IS PORTION CONTROL for the rest of our lives. 5 Bites for Life. Hell to the double NO. We will learn how much is enough and stop overeating. I dont care if I am Zero Carb, Low Carb or Very Low Carb. If I overeat I will gain weight. I dont speak for anyone else but me. So yes, I need to reprogram my little brain that enough is enough and "STOP ALREADY".
For "ME" the Complex part can be hard. Old habits are hard to break. Yet, I am willing and I am wanting to be Healthy. I know I must walk the line. I know I must make the effort. Of all the ways of eating (WOE) that I have tried I had the most control while on Zero Carb. I am using the 5 Bite Diet to get me in the right direction on portion control. Yes, I am eating some non Zero Carb foods and testing the waters. Some I enjoy, some just gives me almost uncontrollable cravings that I have put behind me for the most part, yet battle form time to time.
